In my discussions with the the funeral home, there was a private funeral and no obituary of Hallie (Sue Eckley) Platzer. They show her born October 28,1947 Hallie Sue Eckley and married Alan L. Platzer on February 14, 1970 in Texas. Hallie S. (Eckley) Platzer passed away February 4, 2018 while residing in Lindale, Tx.

 "Miz. Platzer was special and inspirational in so many ways! Her love for students and for her subjects is part of what motivated me to become a teacher myself. Some of my fondest memories include the trip to England, always being deducted 2 points for spelling errors- even when correct answers were only worth 1 point, doing 6 research papers in one semester, finding the lollipop bundle on our desks at birthday time, and sharing birthdays with Sue Platzer for many, many years. RIP, Miz P., and thank you always for your love, enthusiasm, humor, encouragement, and dedication to each of your students as if we were your own children. Sue and Al Platzer were 2 of the best parts of graduating from Lindale High School in 1989.
