Wayne passed away July 24, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetary in Tyler, Texas.

Wayne graduated from John Tyler high in 1965.  He went on to complete an Associates degree at Tyler junior College, and a degree in technical programing at the University Computing Corporation. He worked as a Database Systems Analyst for Aviall, Inc. in Dallas retiring after 25 years os service. 

He was married to and survived by his High School sweetheart, Peggy Tomlinson.  He and Peggy were married forty years. Other survivors include his son Matthew and wife Shelly, two grandchildren, Claire and Trevor; sister Carolyn and husband Edwin Bell; brother Gary and wife Jan; mother-in-law Claudella Tomlinson; nieces and nephews, Megan and Gracie McCaslin, Tracy and Drew Fielder and children Zachary, Brandon and Mamie and Mandy and David  Patty and children audrey, Charlotte and Luke
