Kathy Moody Applegate, 68, passed away May 24, 2016 at her residence in Lindale, TX.  Katherine was born in Tulsa, Ok. on August 23, 1947 to the late Samuel Milo and Mary Dean (York) Moody.  She was a graduate of John Tyler High School, class of 1965. Katherine had previously worked as a secretary/receptionist and was a member of Rose Heights Church of God in Tyler. 

She was preceded by death by her son, Brennen Applegate in 2001 and a sister, Karen Moody in 1991.

She is survived by her husband, Connie Applegate of Lindale; daughter, Cindi Shotwell of Van; step-children, Greg Applegate of Tyler and Melinda Kay Slade of Corinth; sister, Sammi Rannals of Tyler;  grandchildren, Adam Herrell of Van, Hollie Herrell of Van, Rivers Shotwell of Ft. Worth, Caleb Shotwell of Van; step-grandchildren, David Applegate of Longview and Amanda Richardson of Tyler; great grandchild, Bella Cauthron;  step-great grandchildren Olivia Applegate, Caroline Applegate, Nathaniel Richardson and Grace Richardson.

Randy Rannals, Daniel Richardson, David Slade, Robert Shotwell, Caleb Shotwell, and Rivers Shotwell served as pallbearers.

Kathy's funeral was held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 with the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home officiating. Burial was at the Bullard Cementary.
