Known to all her classmates by her brilliant smile, love of painting and love of her family.  She married Michael C. Young December 18, 1965.   Died from complications of Multiple Sclerosis December 16, 2006.  Rita was retired from Employers Insurance of Texas and had worked for First Baptist church of Tyler, Tyler Morning telegraph and texas State Optical.

Rita is survived by her husband Michael, daughter Michele Lee McClenny; son Christopher Michael Young; brother Tommy Walker; sister Jo Lynn Luttrell; grandchildren Taylor and Jamie McClenny, Sydney and Andrew Young.
