Services for Joseph "Joey" Dean Scarborough Jr. were held Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 1pm at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank, Texas, with Bro. Larry Reneau officiating. Interment will follow the service at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mabank, Texas. Joseph was born on August 7, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to parents Joseph Dean Scarborough Sr. and Nell Eugenia (Howard) Scarborough and went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 10, 2017, at the age of 69. Joseph spent his formative years in Mt. Pleasant followed by graduation from John Tyler High School. He then went on to Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, where he earned his Bachelors of Agricultural Sciences with honors.
Joey is survived by his two children, Joseph David, born in 1970 and Melissa, born in 1972.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Joe. I'm afraid I didn't know Joe personally but my prayers go to our Lord for his family who will miss him dearly. He is now in the presence of God. Amen

I did know Joey, we ran around a lot together. I worked for his dad at he Texaco service station. Good memories. Wish I could have known earlier so I could have gone to his funeral. Sorry to see him go.
