JAMES E. SIDES 

July 27, 1947 – June 9, 2024

James was born on July 27, 1947 to CJ and Faye Sides in Tyler, Texas. He attended Tyler Junior College and became a clerk at the US POstal Service for 45 years. He very much enjoyed gardening as a pastime and was an Eagle Scout.

James was preceded in death by his parents, CJ and Faye Sides, and daughter, Alayne Sides Koehler.

James is survived by his wife Shirley Sides, brother Royce Sides and wife Donna of Tyler, TX son Joseph Sides of Eugene, Oregon, Tish Ceptenter of Arp, TX, and Robert Watson of New Chapel Hill, TX. He is also survived by many grandchildren; Michael Koehler of Lexington, KY, Miriah Koehler of Austin, TX, Maddie Sides of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Kaytlyn Tehas of Arp, TX, Amanda Fleet of Arp, TX; great-grandson, Ian Carpenter of Arp, TX; and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for James will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at Lloyd James Funeral Home
