I am so sorry to hear about Verta Lou.  I first met her when we went to Swan Elementry School in Swan, Tx.  She was so so sweet.  Very shy!!  We all loved her then and understand she became an amazing adult.  I have not seen her since Swan but have always remembered  her with fond, sweet memories.  My prayers go out to her family.  I love that girl,  She was so sweet.

I remember Vertie Lou as being very shy and quiet. She was a sweet girl. God bless her family. I'm sorry for their loss.

I did not know Verie but knew of her.  I think I had a class with her but am not sure.  She is another I did not have (or take) time to get to know.  There are so many strangers pictures in my yearbook but as stated elsewhere, I was busy with my Ramey and Boulter friends and being quiet and shy myself, did not try to get to know everyone in the class of 1965.  Another of life's regrets to live with.  However, in my defense, it would have been extremely hard to have had 426 close friends from JT 65.  Does anyone know where that grave Site is located?

Just to add to my previous comment about Verta Lou. To me and Janice Barnes, Verta was one of those angels that God sends our way and we don't realize her until she's gone.  She was such a precious girl that seems to come to our minds on occasions and when she does, we have this warm feeling of her presence. We both are so blessed to have known her.  Thank you, God for sending her to us if for only a few years.

vertie lou was one of Gods special children .  I  have thought about her often these past 50 years. I  always spoke to her and I  always got a smile out of her.  And it always made my day.
