Pat was such a great friend and a really funny person. She was called Paticia only to her mother and Patricia Lynn when her mom was angry. We went to church together at Marvin and were in Miss Littlejohn's third grade class where we learned to play the flute-a-phone. We sat side-by-side in the Hogg Band and spent many hours together practicing our clarinets. She talked me into taking twirling lessons with her from Dale Robbins in the eighth grade which is the reason I managed to become a majorette the next year, though she missed her bid for drum major. The first few weeks of class our elbows were so bruised we taped foam rubber around them so we could keep practicing. Even though we were split up in high school, I lived on First Street one block south of the dividing line, we still got together to make music and had great times at SFA as suite mates in The Twin Towers. It seems like yesterday...........
